So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo.

Read. This. Book. Just... read it. (Or listen. I listened. FWIW, the reader is excellent).

But seriously, read it.

Oluo is an excellent writer who has the ability to make concepts that can seem confusing to many of us (even if they should not be) limpid. She covered many of the issues that govern race and race relations in the US with sensitivity, and with kindness and compassion to those of us who benefit from privilege, and her ability to explain and expose without precipitating defensiveness (at least in me) made the book an informative read.

Plus she's funny.

I honestly feel like this book is a gift that this author has put out there for those of us who care about race relations in America. Read it.
