A conversation with Perry

Seems like lj is still a bit spotty. Not sure if this will post or not.

Conversation with Perry this yesterday Thursday evening, as I rode my scooter and he his bike around the driveway.

Me: "Look at me!" I showed him how I could stick one leg out in front of me as I was zipping around. And then I showed him how I could hook my leg behind my other knee.

Perry: "Pretty cool. Like a flamingo!"

Me, suddenly wondering. "Where do you guys put your pushing leg when you're coasting?"

Perry: "Foot hovering over the brake in case we need to stop suddenly."

Me: "Oh."

Maybe you learn that one through experience!

A neighbor kid was scootering the other day, in flip-flops, and he kept dragging his foot to slow down (instead of using the brake). Drove me crazy! I was sure he would rip the skin off a toe.
