Date: 19 Jun 2011 23:44 (UTC)Actually, we try and schedule stuff for summer, since it allows to try out stuff, and do things that aren't easy to do during the school year, like Perry's velodrome/track racing class. And the art lessons I'm trying to schedule for Linnea.
This is for violin for AC. She's had a few years of piano, and she's a violin beginner. I want her to try it out over the summer because she has so much more free time.

Depends, I think. My kids like to have a few things going, so I schedule them. I know families who schedule absolutely nothing and some where the kids are scheduled for almost every week over the summer, with days camps, sleep-away camp etc.
That said, Linnea must continue with tutoring and working one-on-one with me and dh all summer. There can be no break from that, poor little nut. :(
