Wow. A whole month?
7 Mar 2010 10:26I was looking at some photos from my Cottage Lake set on Flickr, as well as some from my flowers set (not all of those were taken around here) and from what I can tell, we're about 3 weeks to 1 month ahead of schedule, comparing same flower clumps.
That's kinda scary. El Nino really makes for an odd year.
The shifts from global climate change are, I'm sure, much more subtle, this is an anomaly, but it sure is odd to see crocus that were just coming up mid-March last year that are petering out now, and a tree that was in full bloom mid April is now starting to bloom, and it's early March.
We're going to have water restrictions this summer... probably not mandatory, but strongly recommended. And power. Because, hey, this is the Pacific Northwest and I think about 70% of our power is hydro.
