And so the day begins, with my killing of a little dish that I used as a spoon rest and really liked, that my mom gave me years ago. She gave me another one, that I use in my tea set up.



Here's the other one, still intact.



I hate breaking or losing the things of everyday, the ubiquitous items that I rely on to be there and notice at times and that bring back a memory or make me smile. I suspect I'm not alone in that, sigh.

Which is why, in my small way, I'm paying tribute to my little dish here, for many years of service. 🙏
