My eldest daughter -note, not the younger one who has been planning her travel 'fits for weeks- wants to travel with:

-- a backpack, as her personal item
-- a carryon
-- a hard-sided suitcase, checked.

Yeah, no.

We are going to be 5 adults in one car. It should be big enough to fit everyone, but I don't want to get there and find that we can't fit all our freaking luggage.

I'm trying for two bags per person as most or less. NOT three and one of them a gigantic hard shelled monstrosity.

Now. This is when I fully admit that this could just be me. I hate travelling with too much crap. HATE IT. Car trip? Don't care. If you want that extra bag and you're willing to leave it at your feet the whole trip, I'm not going to stop you. Airplane travel, especially when we will have to do some travel on public transportation before picking up the car? As light as possible. My hatred of too many bags stems from travelling with my dad who ALWAYS brought too much shit. ALWAYS. Later, when travelling with my sister... She did too.

So.

Anyhow. I know it'll all work out, but I really don't want to be at the mercy of everyone being uncomfortable because we have too much crap with us!
