Kaleidoscope
25 May 2022 18:50I bought my niece a kaleidoscope. It's a cheapie plastic and cardboard thing because my brother said that she wasn't ready for a real one.
I am going to have a hard time parting with it, LOL.
I absolutely adore kaleidoscopes. And prisms. I have my whole life. I remember getting a prism for my birthday, and how thrilled I was with it, I was 4 years old (according to my mom and aunt).
None of my kids were ever as fascinated as I was. We'll see about my niece.
Also about my niece and nephew: we got to Zoom in to their first violin performances this morning. Too cool. That, I think, has been the one side benefit of the pandemic: the ubiquity of Zoom and Teams that has allowed for sharing of many events, happy and sad, but sharing.
