One thing out.
13 Nov 2021 21:56Got a chair out of the house that I've been wanting to get rid of for a while. It was a mistake purchase before my mom came to visit, no returns on the place I bought it, and required removing our bedroom door to get it back out, which means it needed dh for help because while Perry and I (or Linnea and Perry) could have moved the chair out, removing the door, nsm.
Anne-Chloe actually wanted it, so yay! It's hers now.
One more piece of furniture -a really nice china cabinet- needs to leave the house so I can get other stuff moved around and arranged.
And then there is the garage. So much furniture in there (three dressers, one of them tall, a vanity table, a buffet, and... at least one more thing). Taking up loads of room.
OTOH, I can't move anything in or out of the garage right now because we have a whole bunch of cement wall and paver blocks in front of it. Because we had to finally cave and get a rock wall rebuilt. I have home projects that are expensive but add nothing to livability or aesthetics. Ah well. At least it'll stop the neighbor's house from sliding into ours. The people who build the house next door decided to put a lot of extra fill in to give it some extra height. The fill was never totally stable, and now it's worse than ever. This wall should keep the worse of it in check for a few decades, according to everyone we've talked to.
