BamBam walked all over my computer while I was getting a cup of tea.
I chased him away, but as he left, he managed to lock the computer, so I had to enter my password again.
It didn't work.
I tried again.
Still no dice.
I checked what I was typing. My password starts with a P, and no, it is most definitely not Passw0rd.
My keyboard wouldn't type a P.
Now, I hate my computer, it's a POS, and it was expensive enough that I'm galled that I trusted that anything Costco carried would be at least minimally decent. They stopped carrying this model shortly after I bought it, and things didn't really go to sh*t until it was out of the Costco warranty. It's still under MSI's warranty, but since they take it away and I'd be stuck with no computer for a while, that's not happening. Anyhow. Back to the letter P, which it would not type.
I tried using the ASCII code, but there is not number pad on the keyboard, so that was iffy anyhow, and Fn-Alt-112 didn't produce a P (or any other letter when I tried other ASCII codes).
Dh had a wired keyboard that for some off reason his company sent him. He doesn't use it, but I grabbed and plugged it in.
And it didn't type any Ps either.
Totally freaking weird.
A full reboot fixed the problem, but I have to wonder what happened. That one was a completely new one on me.
Also, it had a long while since I last restarted so it was a pain in the ass.
But I have my Ps back.
