Gauntlet: tossed
22 Mar 2021 15:12I tossed the gauntlet down at Perry, via text last night.
First some background:
-- I despise cast iron. Yes, I know blah blah blah, but you can't wash it in the dishwasher and you have to baby the stuff or it rusts. Give me a freaking break and stainless steel.
-- AC gave Perry a cast iron skillet for Christmas. He seasoned it. He uses it and it works well for him, me, I always had stuff stick.
Mostly he's been good about using it, cleaning it up promptly. However, he made something that made a mess over a week ago, and for the past week I have been asking him to clean up his skillet. He has not done so.
So last night I told him -via text, so written and time stamped, LOL!- that if the cast iron was not cleaned by this evening I was tossing in the dish washer.
We shall see.
ETA It was not cleaned by the time I got home from the lab, but a significant glare at it while I was making dinner reminded Perry and it was taken care of. No dishwasher happened.
