nwhiker1. Twisp and Auri to the vet this morning for vaccines and annual exams. Poor Auri has to be drugged beforehand, or she freaks out, and OMG, that poor cat spends the rest of the day tottering on her feet. Here's a cute blep of drugginess.
Twisp is almost twice her mass, OMG, that cat is big, and she's teeny. That said, poor Twispie is going to need a dental cleaning under general. The cats eats only dry food, but has always had terrible breath, and iffy teeth. Just him, I guess. We did the bloodwork today and we'll schedule him for ASAP. Poor boy. I hate it.
2. A college friend of Perry's, his French-minor buddy... well, her mom died yesterday, two or so months after being diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. No siblings, divorced parents. He says she does have some support system, but man, poor kid. I wish there was something we could do, I mean, beyond telling Perry that we will support him in helping her as needed. I hate Covid because of shit like this. Poor kiddo.
3. If Trump doesn't run in 2024, Josh Hawley and Marjorie Taylor Greene will be our next Potus and VP. If he does run, it'll be Trump. Why? Because the waily-waily "progressives" just screaming that we should "eliminate the filibuster". On whose votes, my dudes? That scum Manchin and stupid Synema won't vote for it. Also, suggesting that Kamala Harris could fix the $15/hour minimum wage by overruling the parliamentarian ignores the fact that if she does that, Manchin has made clear that he'll not vote for the Covid bill at all. Baby in bathwater, throwing out, and all that. Manchin? Is a POS, no arguments from me there... but without him, it's hello Senate Majority Leader McConnell when nothing will get done. Also, the Bernie bros on twitter saying that Trump is better than Biden can fuck off. Bernie Sanders is a cancer that will eat the left from within.
