How broccoli, cauliflower, and Brussels sprouts are eaten in my house.

1. Toss them with olive oil and loads of salt.

2. In the oven at 425F.

3. Timer for 10 or so minutes.

4. Check veggies. If there is a decent amount of brown and crispy bits, call fam over. Everyone shows up (*), we eat what is brown and crisp. Rest goes back in oven.

5. Step 4 gets repeated until there are about three pieces of veggie left on the cooking sheet.

(*) This usually means three of us are around the stove and the fourth person is trying to shove their way in. Also, fingers are usually involved, leading to occasional burns as we try to grab choice brown and crisp morsels before each other.

That recipe sounds good - I love broccoli and cauliflower! One of my favorite foods is a salad with loads of cauliflower, lettuce, red onion, crisp-fried bacon shreds and mayonnaise. Actually it's far too long since I last made it...

No cooking, it has to be raw and crunchy! I just chop it and the onion to small pieces, shred the lettuce and mix the lot together. I let the bacon cool down quite a bit before mixing it in, and then the salad should be allowed to sit in the fridge for a while (a few hours or even overnight is just great) so that the dressing gets more taste from the bacon. I believe a yoghurt dressing would work, too, and I've also made this with smoked salmon instead of bacon and that works as well.

You're welcome! And when you do, please let me know how it goes down. ^_^
