I forget

Because it's usually covered with three or four laptops, a few cats, dishes drying, and other random bits, I often forget just how damn big my countertop is. I am SO happy I threw a fit and insisted on it being this big, after the morons cut my beautiful piece of granite about three feet wide... and insisted that that was fine and what we'd told them to do, which was a total WTF from us, since no, a long skinny countertop that meant that we had a whole bunch of wasted space in the big room was never in our vision of how this was going to work (note: they cut before we signed off on the design, so eh, their problem.)
