A question to ponder
27 Oct 2020 13:39I will happily read fantasy set in a world that is clearly not our own.
I will happily read fantasy that is set in our world (think, say the October Daye or Incryptid series by Seanan McGuire).
I will happily read science fiction that incorporates FTL travel and communication, even though I know better.
And yet a set in our world ghost story?
Nope. I'm not able to suspend belief to that point.
I can't put my finger on the disconnect in me.
