Perry is feeling crummy and has a fever of 102F.
ETA I ran to take a shower while Perry and dh made an appointment for testing, and all through my shower all I could think of was "I forgot to put the unit on 102...". So now I came back and did that.
Freaking out big time.
Updated later. Took him to the Covid clinic at dh's work. It's in a parking garage, they direct you with those lights like the groundscrew use to direct 737s to the gate. Pull up to the tent. The lady talked to Perry, did her exam, did both a strep test and a Covid test. We talked about my bugaboo, meningitis, because of the headache and the light sensitivity. His temp was still about 102F.
And... the strep test came back positive.
He has a z-pack, we're in quarantine until the results of the Covid test come back, but, really, how unlucky would one have to be to be positive for both Covid and strep?
Fingers crossed it's just strep.
Also, of course I was supposed to go shopping today. We're out of milk and eggs and stuck in the house for 2-10 days. Why the fuck bother with a test that only comes back in 10 days? She did say that they'd been getting results at the lower end so fingers crossed.
