Vacuum cleaners

I have two vacuum cleaners. One I bought years ago and hate. It's an upright, and the hose to get to detail work is almost impossible to use. Aka the "yellow vacuum".

The other is a Miele that I adore, and that I bought with credit card rebate money so while expensive, it felt free! Heh. It's blue.

My initial idea was the banish the upright downstairs for the kids to use. Well. Linnea to use. She was thrilled to have her "own" vacuum.

Until she used the Miele.

And now the end result is that we are constantly stealing the Miele from each other, and "hiding" it from each other, in closets, behind stuff.

I had it in my closet for a few weeks, and that worked well, but then I used it in the living area (to no avail, you can't get rid of cat hair when there are boxes every fucking where trapping it), and left it out long enough for her to take it downstairs and stash somewhere.

I just asked her to bring it back upstairs because I need it, and she's claiming the bag is full, so she'll just use the yellow one. Uh huh. She just doesn't want to bring the Miele upstairs where I might take it and hide is behind something in the coat closet. :)
