All graduated.
13 Jun 2020 17:50Well, AC is all graduated, with a degree in geobiology (don't ask. Degree is from the Dept of Earth and Space Sciences, and I think she has a minor in microbiology).
The ceremony, such as it was, went well, despite some early UW tech problems. Overall they did a decent job of trying to convey a sense of ceremony, despite the unusual circumstances.
Things started at 9:30AM with departmental grad, and then at noon with the university. We were on a zoom call for much of the time with friends and family.
Up next for her: registering for the MCAT prep class. Dh and I said we'd pay for a significant part of that. My desperate hope: she gets into med school and dipshit decides not to follow her or whatever. Anyhow. Fingers crossed that she gets in some place faaaaaaar away. I'll miss her, but maybe he'll stay here. :P
But she's graduated, yay.
