#@$%$% bunnies
2 Jan 2021 10:54I planted three rose bushes this summer. One established itself nicely and should be fine for next year.
The other two, despite an arguable better location, had a harder time.
The autumn hit.
And the #@$(#$#!!! bunnies pretty much devoured them down to the ground. They got one established (20 years or so old) bush as well.
WTF bunnies? I don't mind sharing, but I'm starting to think about getting one or preferably two barn cats. I love having cats out in the garden and keeping the bunny population down would be nice.
I hate the danger to songbirds but with fewer people having outdoor cats, the bunnies are truly out of control. The coyotes and the bobcats aren't keeping up.
ETA As dh said the other day: "I used to be 100% team Peter Rabbit. Now I'm starting to see Mr McGregor's side of the story."
