World leaders were "there". The Malignant Mango was not. Of course. Thus leaving the US out of the plan, the dialog, out of helping an effort which might succeed, and that might have been sped along with the US's money.
I can only hope that when this is all over and Trump is out of office, it is not too late for the US to resume some position on global leadership. I suspect Obama will be the last American president who will ever be called (non-ironically) the Leader of the Free World, but it would be nice to be in the leadership council, something Trump cannot see or understand because he thinks only of himself and right now he=USA.
What is however clear to me is that spot among the leaders of the world will not be held open indefinitely for the US, if it is held at all. We need to vote Trump out in November.
