Poor nutlet
20 Feb 2020 19:43The dock at rowing had been flooded for the past 10 days... and since it's across from the dog park and people don't pick up after their disgusting mutts, the fecal content in the water was sky high, which meant that even if it was safe to wade to the dock from a water standpoint, it wasn't bacteriologically.
Which means the kids were on-land for 10 days. First time back on the water was Tuesday.
Linnea has been practicing hard in the 'lighties' boat. And today, probably because of 10 days of ergs, running, and lifting, she ripped. This is the dreaded callus-ripping-off thing that gymnasts and rowers dread.
One whole palm, both thumbs, a finger. She's currently all taped up, her coxswain got her when they got back on land. Linnea said it had hurt so bad, she'd shed one tear.
Need to see what I have left over from a first aid standpoint from gymnastics days.
