Yet one more thing in the workplace

I just saw two random completely different job announcements, from completely different orgs, on completely different platforms with one thing in common: a "dog friendly workplace" is listed as a fucking PERK?

If this continues, it's going even work is going to become yet one more place that people who don't like dogs, are grossed out by dogs, or are afraid of dogs cannot live in peace. I have to hope that people who are allergic will be able to have some accommodation made so they don't have to deal with dogs, but who knows?

The damn things have already taken over streets, parks, hiking trails, National Parks, Home Depot, and last summer, a woman tried to bring her damn mutt into the bathroom at the campground. It's like... WTF, lady? Her explanation? That he was growling and barking at people when she left him outside the bathroom, so she figured she'd take him inside. Dude, really? So he can growl and bark while I'm trying to pee, wash my hands, and brush my teeth?

Dogs don't belong in the workplace, unless you're a vet. They don't belong in stores, and I think I'd even include pet product stores to that. They don't belong in most parks, and they don't belong in National Parks. Just fucking UGH.

Yech.

A "dog friendly workplace" would mean a job I would not take, or even apply for. Dog lovers have this impression that everyone! loves! their! stupid! vapid! drooling! slobbering! shedding! barking! pooping! machines, and that anyone who does not love their! stupid! vapid! drooling! slobbering! shedding! barking! pooping! machines is somehow suspect as a human being.
