There is a stereotype out there that women mutlitask well and that men do not.

The fact that this is the case for my dh does not in any way validate or invalidate that stereotype.

I suspect it's more of a personality issue, with how we are raising and what we are expected to do emphasising differences.

But.

Perry.

Perry reads while he walks when at all possible. We dropped Linnea off at tutoring and picked her up, which meant we walked from the car to the building, up the stairs, down the hallway, into the tutoring rooms, and later back out, twice. Perry read while walking, with me repositionning him as needed, and he did check for cars in the parking lot.

As I propelled him towards the door at tutoring I told Janet that he was reading and walking at the same time.

Perry looked up. "I'm training myself to multitask. That's a skill that will be valuable later."

So there we have it.
