After getting two books in the series that I didn't want yet.... book 2 showed up today!
I was 11th day before yesterday, with very few copies. I swear everyone just suspended their holds.
So yay! I'll pick it up at the last possible day, and start listening in January, when I'm back commuting. I've got book 3 here, and I'll rip it to mp3, even though that's unethical, and then I'll just have to wait about 8-9 months again for book 4. I'll suspend book 5. Or some such.
There really should be an automatic feature that doesn't allow you to jump more than 5 places in a queue like this.
But I'm glad to have book 2. Less glad that I'll need to rip the 39 CDs of book 3 to disk...
Actually, this is bizarre, and probably why I didn't notice that I was moving quickly in the hold queue: book 2, that is waiting for me a the library? It still shows me as being 10th in line. How the eff am I supposed to manage a hold queue if the information the system gives isn't accurate?
Ready for pick up
