From blah to worse

The follow up on the IUD saga.

I finally had the gyn appmt today. It seems that the referral was not clear that most of the IUD was out. So, well, this just got escalated from IUD removal to hysteroscopy with general anesthesia. And since I'm on Zeppy, they'll have to intubate just in case, even if I stop it for a week or so.

Blah. Major blah.

OTOH, the first step in the process is getting an ultrasound to see where the bit of IUD ended up. She'll call me when we have those results, with the intent being to decide if it needs to come out or if it really can just hang out there. I mean, it's just a tiny bit of plastic and wire and it should not be in my cervix so I'm pretty ok leaving it there if she agrees.

Serves me right. 🙄

Well, that beats my upcoming colonoscopy! Not until June, but still. Ugh.
Looks like P and I will be up in your direction from the 3rd through the 14th. Mom's surgery is on the 4th. I'm hoping at some point we can at least get together for lunch or dinner!

I'm supposed to schedule a stupid colonoscopy. BLAH SQUARED on that one! So I hear you. You'd think I could get them to do both at the same time but nooooo... Yeah, I asked, LOL.

I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING YOU GUYS! I hope things go boringly for your mom, keep me posted! After the 3d, we have nothing major on the schedule, so any day is great, though of course, I have a freaking job, sigh so a weekend day would be spectacular. 🙄
