It was storm, we played in the midst of a rare PNW one. It was also the precursor to a total TRAGEDY, TRAGEDY I TELL YOU!!! I saw that the site registered the fact that we now had TWO 1s on our stats that evening... but the next day? Wiped out, along with our 391 day streak! We never missed a day (and I have proof of that), never forgot to play etc, the computer didn't reboot, nothing changed, but the NY Times robbed me of my streak!!! I'm gonna be salty about that for A Long Time. Though, tbh, I'll keep track of my real streak in my head, LOL.

i have one 1 in my stats - and because I'm one of those people who use the same starting word every day, I had to change my starting word the next day :^)

Heh on the start word! Crane? :) We play randomly words every day. My sister uses soare and crane for long chunks of days. Since we all text each other results, David and I have to avoid looking at hers. Wordle is a game of information and that provides too much! (We also have been playing together since I had the NYTimes login and it's too much fun to chat about it, argue, and critique each other's suggestions!)

RAISE was my 1. When Matthew played, he would use a thematic first word. I did for awhile then switched to a 3-vowel word. I was using ROUTE or OUTER for a long time and used OUTER the day that ROUTE was the answer 😕

People in the crossword comments say you can get xword streaks restored by emailing support; maybe you can do that for wordle as well?
