Today I spent most of the day at a NHS hospital in Wales. BEST hospital experience EVER, btw. I got there early because of other plans, but from the time I checked in the time I was done, all testing and follow ups completed was about 2 1/4 hours. At an out-patient. Everything is fine, but considering how my knee was feeling, I needed it checked out. But seriously, this was so easy, it was almost painful to consider what I'd have had to do in the US.
After that easy 2 1/4 hours, I then spent 45 minutes being the hot potato everyone wanted to get rid of when I tried to find someone who could tell me how I could pay for this. It took about 4 people, before someone told me that they'd let Yvonne, who might know how to deal with this, know that I'd been seen. Yvonne only works part time and from home, so she just might be the person who was stuck holding the potato. I gave my email address.
Dh was at a train ride even thingie, LOL. I was not about to let him miss that because I needed to sit as a hospy. So I did that, got the bus back to Porthmadog from Bangor (1 1/4 hour) and sat in a pub drinking cider and reading until he got back a few hours later. Not a totally horrid day, all things considered. I was sad at missing the train ride but it could not be helped.
