nwhikerOMG, I am so freaking sick of the paeans to Liz Cheney all over twitter.
Credit where credit is due: she is standing up for democracy and going against her party and Trump and Trumpists to do so.
I respect that decision of hers.
However, she voted against Voting Rights, against LGBTQ rights, against protecting kids from guns, against making sure kids have food etc.
She's a Republican: at her core, cruel and uncaring of others, accepting/promoting racism.
She is not, and has never been, on our side.
That she does not want democracy itself to fail is a point in her favor but we need to stop pretending that this one act redeems all others. Take her help and support in this matter, of course, but we need to remember that she is not our friend.
