nwhikerStress levels are high around here.
My poor spouse spends most of his non-work hours talking to either his mother or his sister. Nothing is going to happen, because my MIL is refusing all compromises and suggestions. She's started guilt tripping both dh and SIL as well, with appeals for them to understand that she has to keep All The Stuff.
All The Stuff from FIL's households that we've been trying to get rid of.
The stuff that prevented, ultimately, my FIL from moving up here.
That stuff.
And stuff from her family that she insisted on keeping.
It's stupid and ridiculous. But Stuff has inertia.
She's wailing that she "just needs another year" but I don't think a year will solve this problem. It's been three since she collected All The Stuff (probably grasping that we were going to toss a certain amount of it) and nothing has budged. One more year will not make a difference.
