nwhikerI have three children.
All three children are dealing with (good and bad) crises this morning. Via text. With their mother.
1. Linnea asked for clarification on an assignment, she was confused of what was required and got called lazy by the prof ("I don't take well to laziness"). Linnea is not, is never lazy, seriously. She is now devastated, wants to drop the class, and, knowing her, will never ask for clarification on anything again. Ugh. ETA The more I think about her being called lazy, the more pissed off I am. Kids with the level of learning issues that Linnea has do not get to college if they are lazy. Period. Every thing she has, she's gotten because she was willing to work hours beyond what was expected of other kids. END ETA.
2. AC has been losing weight a bit fast and her post-surgery WBCs were a bit high. She's freaking out, needless to say. Her weight loss is because she isn't eating, I think, she just doesn't do a great job taking care of herself. WBCs should be re-checked. I truly don't think it's anything (I hope, fingers crossed etc) but she's worried.
3. Perry may have gotten an entry to the men's lightweight at Head of the Charles. He really wants to go. It would be great if he could. There are A LOT of logistics to make this happen, and a few things need to fall into place.

Date: 4 Oct 2021 00:31 (UTC)And I'm pissed with you about Linnea's prof. That is simply uncalled for. I wonder if he has a reputation for being a jerk? And it's especially unfortunate that it happened in basically her first week. We attended a parent-orientation-via-zoom for the community college, and they discussed the process for getting accommodations. It sounded daunting.
