We have not had cable or bothered with TV since... sometime in the late 90s.
We did have cable for a year or so when my MIL lived with us. It was when you still had cable-cable, and it was in her bedroom, and she dealt with it.
Aside from that, we have netflix. We do have a TV, it's about a decade or so old (or older? No idea), and doesn't connect to the internet or do streaming. Before that we had an old CRT model of my FIL's that dated from the 70s. TV is pre-streaming and used mainly for gaming.
My mom is going to visit. My mom is addicted to the news. We figured we'd hook something up from one of the computers, no biggie.
LOL, no. It's fucking complicated sxzddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzwqsaaaaaaaaaaaxzss <-- Twisp
Where was I? Oh yeah. It's fucking complicated, with services and subscriptions and wtf is Roku?
There is the problem with missing out on the start of a technology. When you try to jump in a decade after it starts, it's kinda like... um, what?
