Bit of good news!

Linnea does, in fact, have housing for next fall. It was a bit of a mess because she was on the waitlist and we were concerned about what that meant for actually getting a room.

We shall see what dorm she's in!

Is that at WWU? Sorry that I've forgotten. I hope she gets a great roommate.

Yes, it is. Unfortunately she didn't get into the branch campus of UW, which would have been our preference.

I'm still a bit irked that UW is so hard to get, both main and branch campus. I mean, Linnea, having taken AP and advanced classes, with an IEP for learning disabilities, has a 2.8 GPA but was turned down because of the 3.0 minimum. Anyhow.

I'm honestly terrified that this isn't going to end well, because of the amount of support we've been providing.

About roommates: she's been browsing what she calls Roommate Tinder on housing's website. :)

Clearly I don't know WWU, but UM has a lot of support resources for students. The difference is, students have to seek them out - and my kids are not good about asking for help (although I think Zane has gotten better about it).

WWU is pretty good about student support, not as good as UW (where classes are often recorded, which would help her), but still pretty good. And she's pretty good about asking for help. It's more that if the help isn't provided with a great amount of sensitivity, she becomes persuaded that everyone thinks she's stupid and shuts down.

Perry and AC were always horrid about asking, but Linnea has learned. I'm glad Zane has gotten better. It's such an important skill to have.

Has Toby made any decisions about what he wants to do?
