Three Things for Sunday
11 Apr 2021 20:03-- My arm hurts. I'm happy it hurts because I got the damn shot, but it's still sore. And I'm cold.
-- My sister has all new furniture at her place. It's all sleek, modern leather that goes surprisingly well with the brown and rock décor... but while nice, none of it is nearly as comfortable as the old furniture.
-- It's good to be here with my sister, BIL, and mom. We got Anne-Chloe a ticket to fly down Friday, so she had some extra time with them, and everyone has been kind, loving, and supportive. My mom is definitely slipping, but it's so strange: after a family phone call in which she repeated the same questions/comments over and over, and was confused about several things, I had a one-on-one conversation with her about politics and she was completely clear, oriented. She asked questions, but they were relevant to what we were discussing, not just asked to fill time. So blah. It doesn't mean she doesn't have dementia, but gives me hope that there will be some more good times and discussions.
