Hold music is NEVER going to sound good. It just... won't.

My idea: instead of hold music, let's move to hold poetry. A mix of classics, of easy rhyming stuff, of longer pieces.

Great idea! Go for it! I have long believed that the ceilings in dentist offices should have interesting pictures - mine just has some grid drop ceiling thing. Imagine my delight when I was in an x-ray room with one of the kids and saw pictures on the ceiling above the exam table/bed! I forget what exactly they were though. (Dental School is currently under renovation; hopefully they upgrade the ceiling in the process, although I doubt it will feature inspiring landscape images.)
