I wanted to give the Girl Boss her own post, so today is going to be a three things for Sunday... on Monday. So eh.
1. First frost this morning. It may have frozen yesterday, but we weren't there, so eh, I'm counting today. What was neat? The lake-side deck had frost, the other side of the house did not. Talk about micro-climates, LOL.
2. I was going to update to Windows 11 but then I saw they'd removed Live Tiles. Sorry, bzzt, I'll keep my Live Tiles as long as I freaking can. It seems to me that 11 is going back to the days of -shudder- Windows 3.1, and just no.
3. Dropped the car off today at the transmission place... looks like the Pilot needs another transmission. The first one lasted fifteen years/LOTS of miles, the second, just over 2 (but we went over the mileage for the warranty), and this last one was re-done (replaced? don't remember) in November 2019, a few months before before the world went to heck. This should be a warranty repair, but we'll be without the Pilot for a while. I know we could get a new car, but I was hoping to get a new small car next (because the Prius moved to Bellingham with Perry, sigh...), not replace the SUV. Especially since good SUVs are now hard to find. The new Pilot is a squashed monstrosity that looks like a mini-van, they put sun or moonroofs in everything (hello, I live where it rains a lot. Do not put more holes in my car that necessary for ingress and egress!) or worse, replace a perfectly good roof with heavy glass. I don't care how darkened it is, I most certainly do not want the sun beating down on my head. That -sun from above though glass- is a major panic and migraine trigger for me. So finding a new vehicle is going to be an exercise in frustration, LOL.
