We shall see

Apparently current data shows that WA state had the fewest number of people planning to travel or get together over Thanksgiving. I hope that's the case, and that we start seeing numbers trend downwards.

Also, I'm a privacy fiend. I stopped using Google entirely, ditched Facebook, and held on to my beloved Windows phone as long as I could for privacy reasons.

And yet today, I downloaded an app from the state that helps with contact tracing. It looks like they did seriously consider privacy when developing it and if Google isn't lying (ha ha ha. Google is a bunch of fucking liars when it comes to privacy, the only ones worse are Facebook) it shouldn't be storing too much data, but I'm willing to take the privacy hit in hopes of helping get this pandemic under control.

Because, yeah, I'm pretty much done with it. I want it gone. So I'll do my part, sign up for the app, continue to socially distance, wash my hands, and wear a mask, and when the vaccine becomes available, I'll line up despite not being 100% sure it's as safe as it could be.
