Top two/jungle primary
13 Oct 2020 08:45We have a top two/jungle primary here in Washington state.
Generally, I like it.
And sometimes, it bites us in the ass.
For lieutenant gov we have two Dems running, and a strong write-in campaign for a dude who did not get in as the choice of the GOP voters for governor, so they're doing this write-in thing.
That said... with the two Dems splitting the liberal vote, we may very well be screwed. From what I can tell, the write-in campaign seems to be pretty strong. If we go by the yard sign metric, the most signs have been for Biden-Harris, the second most for the awful GOP candidate for gov and the write-in candidate, those two mostly together.
So yeah. I'm concerned about the lt gov vote this year.
