She's been working with them on the Special Needs panel/part. It was difficult for her, for various reasons, and it stressed her out quite a bit, but she's glad she participated.

God, this is fucking stressful. And scary.

His fever goes up SO very high, but it plummets about as fast. We're talking 106F or even 107F, no symptoms beyond "I think I have a bit of a fever." Not listless, not confused. Give him Motrin? Within 20 minutes, it's back down to normal, and every few minutes, you can see it drop. Scary stuff.

I am going to set my alarm tonight so I can give him ibuprofen and acetaminophen (why oh effing why did the US decide to use the impossible to spell acetaminophen rather than paracetamol? Why?) as often as possible. He did not have a fever when he woke up this morning at 7 or so, despite no meds since 10pm or so the evening before.

Anyhow, here's the funny bit: we grabbed a flashlight to see his throat and yes, it looks bad, white spots. But he wanted a photo.

Imagine, if you will, a kiddo trying to take a photo of the back of his throat, while saying AAAAH. Imagine as well that said kid had just slammed a bottle of orange Gatorade.

Alas, though, no good images of the spots.

This is the insanity that our life has become.
