OMG, Linnea!

Today was an event at Linnea's rowing club called "IcebERG" where they organize the kids in flights for a major erg race. Parents are encouraged to attend, and the kids are allowed a "plus one" a pseudo-cox to help motivate them during the 2k.

Linnea placed first in her flight.

First.

That's not a common event for her. Her height means she's at a disadvantage so she's usually towards the last. Today, she was not. Granted many of the girls in her flight were novices, but all the kids in a given flight have recorded 2k time that is similar.

She was sweating and could barely walk when she got off that erg!

The best part, aside from how thrilled she was? Seeing how many girls came up to hug her and congratulate her. One of her coaches mentioned how tenacious she is, how she was willing to give it her all, and also how much of a positive influence she is in any boat she's in. That was very nice to hear.
