Don't know what to do.
14 Dec 2019 14:47I don't know what to do.
It may be time to start considering having BamBam put down.
It's been over two months. He won't use the litterbox at all. He pees on anything soft. He's ruined the couch, the futon, the piano bench. He's peed on bags, jackets, dishtowels, potholders, literally anything fabric that is left out.
There is nothing left to do. The vet says he's fine, and we've done everything that can be done.
Well, there is one thing: penis removal surgery, which can help with potential blockages, but the problem right now is behavioural, not physical.
He bullies Auri constantly. He corners her and tries to beat her up.
We've had a tarp on the couch for the past month. Well, I guess he's been able to sneak under it for at least part of the time.
The house reeks of cat pee. I don't know that it will ever not reek of cat pee. It's all him. Neither Twisp nor Auri pee outside the litterbox.
He's on the highest dose of Prozac that they can give him.
I know we make a commitment to pets when we take them in. I get that. But having to live the way we currently are isn't that great for anyone either.
