Craft fairs and Linnea

I went to two craft fairs at two local high schools today to look for gifts for people. I found a few things.
The first craft fair was gigantic, and had A LOT of nice stuff. The problem? I was alone and I'm not a great shopper, so no validation on any ideas I had for gifts. I didn't buy anything.
Met Linnea and a few of her friends at the other craft fair, and her high school. Got a few gifts, yay.
And we found... this woman who takes old fashioned jewelry -think sparkly brooches- and frames them. I found a cute dog for my sister, they weren't too expensive so if she doesn't like it, oh well. I found a train for dh, which again, cheap.
And there was a pink pig. I showed it to Linnea.
Who hyperventilated with excitement and happiness, talking about how pretty it was, and how wonderful that the crafter had bothered doing a pig, and OMG, it's so pretty and she loved all the stuff, and look at the cute cats, and Maman did you see the train and and and.
She was completely Linnea in full excitement mode, and when I was able to buy the pig (and the dog and the train) (*), she was bouncing with glee.
The woman who made these things? Was SO thrilled. She kept on telling me how Linnea's enthusiasm had just made her day, heck her holiday season, that she'd hesitated to bring her stuff to the craft fair (it was the first time she'd tried to sell anything) and that Linnea's reaction was so validating and just made her feel good about what she was doing.
It was nice. My enthusiastic little gal gave back to the world today and contributed to the holiday spirit or some such!
(*) I had no idea so few people would take cards. The first craft fair I was at was a bit more professional and I'd say about 3/4 of the vendors appeared to take credit. This one? NSM, most people were cash and check only. I don't usually carry cash, and wasn't even sure I had my ATM card on me, thinking I would drive quickly to an ATM, get cash and come back... and as I was looking for my ATM card, I found two twenties. I think I put them there while I was in Louisiana and completely forgot I had them. So yay!
