Dh has a cast iron griddle. He's still figuring out the best way to clean it. The flat side is easy, the grooved sided more annoying.
So he bought one of these pieces of chainmail.
It is never going to be used on a griddle is my prediction, unless he purchases another one.
Why?
Because him, Perry, and I have been playing with it constantly. It drapes. It makes pretty patterns. It makes soothing crissing sounds. It gets warm. It can be bunched up. It's a fabulous toy.
It's not going to see a nasty greasy griddle ever.
Reminds of back when, meeting with Perry's 8th grade (iirc) advisor. He pointed out, with amusement, that the apple didn't fall far from the tree: Perry was a major fidgeter (still it) and always playing with something. Dh and I were sitting at there, listening to him and... playing with with fidget toys he had on his desk. I mean, they were right there, what else were we supposed to do?
No excuse me while I steal the chainmail from Perry.
