Lead Wars

That's Lead, as in pencil lead, Wars. To be clear.

Years ago, I used 0.5mm mechanical pencils. The kids all used 0.7mm. All was well.

Until the kids started noticing that 0.5mm lead was always available in the house, and 0.7mm was not.

Why was it not? Because the little darlings would not tell me they needed it. I kept myself supplied in lead, and told them to let me know when they needed more. Which they never did.

What happened?

They all migrated to 0.5mm lead pencils. And ate my 0.5mm lead supply.

In defense, I migrated to 0.7mm.

I bought 0.7mm lead this summer at Target. I went to get some today, because I am out.

It's all gone.

Questioning reveals that both children in residence use 0.7mm pencils. And "I ALWAYS use that size!"

Um. No. NSM.

No lead in house for my pencil.

I know it's the kids. Dh steals whole pencils, not lead. I had to take one back from him because my other one has no lead.

I may sound paranoid, but they are really out to prevent me from writing any more tasks on the 'garden clean up' task list.
