Yipes. Yesterday I was on a skype call with family and my sister, who lives in Central Oregon, showed us how nasty the skies looked like there from recent fires. I noted that we had some haziness but aside from that not much impact.
And then, over the course of about 10 minutes (no, really, check out those graphs!), the smoke rolled in an the skies took on that strange, eerie, orange overcast.
I went out last night and took the opportunity to take a few photos. They aren't great, but.

If anything it's worse this morning, there is ash on the cars. Outside smells like a bonfire happened two houses down. My eyes are irritated.
We're getting smoke, apparently, from the fires in Eastern WA, as well as a few on this side of the Cascades, OR, CA, and some of the upper haze is from Siberia.
This sucks. I've lived in the PNW for almost (OMG) 30 years now. We used to see smoke haze like this once a summer, maybe every 3-5 years? Now it's at least yearly.
