Three Things

1. I ordered my new laptop :( this morning. Of course the other was is behaving nicely this morning and I really didn't want a new one, to be honest. I ended up with an MSI. I had planned on getting a 15in LG Gram: it's so cool, and so light, but it was a usability thing that made me turn it down: the mic jack is on the right and towards the back, which means that the cord would interfere with my mouse, would probably cross the keyboard, and might get tangled in the dongles in the two USB ports. In addition some of the reviews seem to imply that the Bluetooth and WiFi isn't as reliable on the Gram as it could be, and I have a Bluetooth mouse. So MSI it is. A pound heavier, wah. I'll have to start lifting weights.

2. I have a beloved old-stype Fitbit, that will be pried off of my cold dead wrist, the last thing I would ever want to do is give heartrate data to fucking evil Google, so I can't upgrade any time soon. My Flex does not have a buzz you to remind you to walk every hour so I just set a timer and I've been getting up and walking around every hour or so. Since my hip has been hurting since I fell off the deck earlier this summer, I need to get back into exercising. Anyhow, I've been doing that.

3. And this morning when I went out to do my loops around the house, I noticed that we have a mole in the rose garden FML. Sigh. But I also went and picked myself a bowl of blackberries, which I am eating now with my cereal. We have to cut them down -they're nasty noxious world-swallowing weeds around here- but until I get Perry to do it, the bush near the front gate has nice, assessible berries.
