Sleigh of hand or Lessons from Putin?

GDP drops 32%. Trumps starts to talk about cancelling or pushing back the election.

Two possibilities:

Sleigh of hand: he's wanting us to freak the fuck out about the possibility of his pushing back the election/eliminating the possibility of vote by mail, so we ignore the drop in GDP.

Lessons from Putin: he really is thinking about how to set himself up as president for life (with Ivanka after him.)

I'm leaning towards the first, but the second is not totally out of the question. I don't like conspiracy theories, but this guy is off the rails, unhinged, whatever, and drunk on power. Our system of checks and balances has utterly failed. With Portland, they have a better idea of how a street protest to a stolen election might look, how loyal their goons are, and how to quell that protest. They control the Supreme Court. The important thing is that they don't have to win, they just have to make it close enough to steal.
