Not one box
30 Jun 2020 16:46Not a single box has been dealt with. Most of my living room is taken over. Perry brought back stuff from Bellingham and it's still in the car 10 days later because we have nowhere to put it.
None of the furniture (a bed frame, a china hutch, two tall dressers, two low ones with mirror, an old-fashioned full size radio, and a sideboard) has been photographed or put on craigslist. There is pretty much no storage space left in my garage.
I don't know what to do.
We've been trying to get outdoor projects done on the weekend, and dh works from 8:30am to at least 6:30pm often without a lunch break. I can't make any decisions on any of this crap (or it would have never been moved up here in the first place.). He won't take any time off of work to do this.
I said my birthday. That has past.
This weekend we have an outdoors project to do, weekend after that we're going camping. Then the railway museum thinks they might be re-opening and he has plans to go out for the first few weekends. Then camping again. I can't deal with this. I can't let the summer pass without getting outside projects done to focus on this.
I don't want to nag or be bitchy, but this stuff has got to go. I'm venting here because I don't want to vent at him.
There is an old phonograph that is supposed to go to FIL's half sister (it was their dad's), and it's big and heavy and needs to be specially packaged. He can't even make time during the week to take it to the freaking UPS store, and they're not open on weekends. Nothing is open on weekends, he has at least four or five things to do to get this shit gone that have to be done during the week and duh, it can't be done when you are working full time and won't take time off. I'm not volunteering because I a) don't want this to become my problem, b) I don't want to deal with my stupid bitch of a SIL and I don't trust her not to try to stir up shit if I do something she perceives as "wrong".
I'm at wits end.
