AC has a job offer, and she's going to accept. She'll be working with the UW medical center to process Covid-19 samples. Part time, which she wanted (she didn't want to leave her accounting/tax job person in the lurch), work from 3pm-11pm.

I'm excited for her. It was her first time interviewing for a job "cold", every other thing she's done, she got via word of mouth, so I'm glad it was a good experience. She sent in her application Wed, got the offer today. I may apply too. I mean, they seem desperate and it would be a job. OTOH, there is that thesis.

A small twinge of "ugh, Covid samples", but, well.

I first want to apologise for commenting on your personal post with fannish stuff, however I couldn't find another way of contacting you.

That said… some time ago, I've read your and Cassanra7's fanfic "Second Life" and I find myself returning to it time and again. I think what I most appreciate in it is the slow evolvement of Severus and Sirius' relationship, with all the bumps and mistaken assumptions and finally mutual understanding. It makes it very believable.

I'd dearly love to share your fic with my non-English speaking friends. Would it be ok with you if I translated it into Czech? I've already asked Cassandra7 and she gave me her permission, so long as you agree too.

I'm glad the fic means something to you, it was a difficult one to write in many ways, and it's always good to hear that we made their world real enough to others to create the emotions that we perceived.

(It's true that it is long, but I'm excited to have a go at it. Every time I reread I say to myself "hmm, how would I go about translating this turn of phrase", because the language of the fic is so rich. It's such a pleasure to read.)
