One goal

One goal this summer: to get Perry to put away stuff when he is done with it.

I mean, really. Stuff like this:

-- He'll cook. He'll take out, say, 5 things. He'll put away 4, and leave one in the middle of the counter.

-- Remind him to put away the cookie sheet covered with Al foil that he used to heat up his lunch. He'll deal with the foil and leave the cookie sheet on the counter.

-- He'll have three plates and a cup next to him. He'll take the cup and two plates to the sink, and leave a plate and a fork out.

-- He used the weedwhacker yesterday, put it away, put everything he'd taken out away and... left the garage door open.

It's that last little bit of finishing stuff up that drives the rest of us batty.

I know he can do it, because he would never ever EVER leave a job not 100% finished if it involved a boat. So here is hope.
