I vacillate between thinking that our government is underestimating the capacity of the American people to understand and act, thinking that this government is incapable of forming three coherent thoughts in a row with which to present said American people, and thinking about the 40% of Americans who believe that Bill Gates is going to inject nanobots into us under the guise of vaccinating us from the "Wuhan flu". So, eh. It's all over the place.
