nwhikerWe went and picked Perry up for the weekend. He's not been out of the house except for shopping and bike rides, and not seen anyone since he left, so I hope he's ok.
We just needed garden help and it was easier to do that than try to hire someone, which has rarely gone well for us.
One rose should planted, the other one should be in either tonight or early tomorrow, the area has been weeded and should be ready to go.
The last rose is going in the corner near my bedroom window and we're creating a new bed there, so we need to procure top soil and some rocks. We got some (just minorly) ugly trellises from Costco earlier this spring and those will get put in as well. The idea is a clematis and rose trellis with some low lying stuff in front of it to allow us to leave the bedroom blind up and not be completely exposed. We'll see.
It's hot as Hades here, temps got up to 85F, which is about 20F higher than average and totally fucking M.I.S.E.R.A.B.L.E. I'm totally jealous of all the people on the East Coast dealing with snow. I'd rather that. I hate the fucking heat.
